Boys School HS Rugby Rankings Week 7
De La Salle was idle but remains at #2 in part because Herriman lost a couple of warmup games and some of the other teams chasing #1 didn't play.
Gonzaga, however, did get in a game against a well-regarded Gregory the Great and we bump Gonzaga, for the moment, up to #2. Herriman dropping is one of those instances where it's early in the season and any old result can tip the scales. Herriman lost to Red Mountain in the Ra Puriri Tournament, although we know they fielded a very young team in thar game. They also lost to Snow Canyon in a very close game. For now, that's enough to drop them a spot ... but watch out. These types of short-game results can be thrown out easily.

Strake Jesuit's win over Dallas Jesuit bumps them up six spots. St. Thomas won big and we were waiting for them to do something like this (you know we reward shutouts). So they jump up 12 spots, and remember, it's still early, so that's why one result like that makes the changes. St. Thomas has some tough games coming so they have a really good chance to build in that ranking.
We did add Cumberland Valley, Loyola Blakefield after a tie with Gonzaga's Black team, and St. James Academy after an early win, but obviously we're being cautious there. Also caution has us dropping Moeller down. Injuries, specifically, have us deciding not to put too much pressure on them until they start playing.
