Woodlands Hosts Come and Take It Tournament
The Woodlands Youth club in out the Houston, Texas area is hosting its annual Come and Take It tournament, bringing in hundreds of young rugby players from all over the region.
The tournament includes players as young as 1st grade and go all the way up to three brackets for high school: Girls HS, Boys DI, and Boys DII. The younger kids will play 7swhile older kids will play shortened 15s games.
The tournament is sponsored by Presenting Sponsor for this year's Tournament Waste Connections, along with support of Rugby Texas, St Luke’s Health, Kroger, The Howard Hughes Corporation, and Tipler Group.
The girls bracket brings in teams not only from the Greater Houston area, but from Dallas, Austin, and Plano as well. The Boys brackets are the same, with a heavy Greater Houston feel (Brazoria, Katy, Woodlands, Strake Jesuit, Kingwood) along with Four Points out of the Austin area, Cy Fair out of Cypress, and San Antonio out of ... well, you get the idea.
