Boys School HS Rugby Rankings Week 2
Boys School HS Rugby Rankings Week 2
This early in the season things can move very drastically.
We can see a team jump into the rankings at a high level, but we also give you a caution—they can move down quickly, too.
Just because, say, St. Augustine is ranked #3 doesn't mean they will stay there, even if they keep winning. So many of the other teams are idle that their own early results could create major shifts.

This week, then, we do see two key moves, with New Orleans Jesuit moving up from #48 to #11 because they beat Dallas Jesuit. But if Dallas Jesuit struggles in upcoming games we might move New Orleans down because really they didn't beat a #16, they beat a team that should have been ranked #40. Torrey Pines moves up based on a big win over unranked San Clemente. But we were going to rank the winner of that game regardless. So really we look on San Clemente as an almost-ranked team. Torrey Pines won by 49. That's a big enough result to, for now, move them into the Top 50 at #12.
Again, it could all change.
Cathedral's early loss to Fallbrook keeps them behind Fallbrook, but a strong showing against St. Augustine might move them past Fallbrook.
Northern California is getting into its season now. North Carolina is back after a snow day. Cardinal Gibbons makes their 2022 season debut this week. More games in Louisiana and Texas are also coming, so there are a few more games to track coming up.
