New Recruiting App Connects HS Players with Colleges

Next Phase Rugby is in a partnership with Goff Rugby Report.

Next Phase Rugby has launched a new online recruiting platform that transforms the rugby recruiting landscape and offers unprecedented opportunities for high school rugby players to connect with college coaches.

The Project is launched in partnership with Goff Rugby Report.

With the app, high school athletes can build online profiles with highlight videos, follow their target schools, and search for schools by location, academic requirements, type of rugby program and more.  College teams build school profiles, search for athletes that meet their academic standards and recruiting goals, promote upcoming events and roster openings, and follow and request contact details from prospective recruits.

The service includes both free and premium membership packages. All high school athletes—regardless of their membership status—will appear in college search results and can be approached by college recruiters. Through premium membership, users can unlock advanced search features, follow others, view contact information and see engagement activity.

Greg Stelluti, President and Co-founder said, ”We’ve listened to both high school and college coaches, and designed a system that addresses many inefficiencies in the recruiting process. Our goal is to make it easier for student-athletes to play college rugby.”

The platform has recently launched with a few targeted groups and is now expanding to the full rugby community. The company plans to focus on all levels of men's and women's college rugby; helping high school students to pursue highly-competitive varsity programs or student-run clubs.

Through a strategic partnership with Goff Rugby Report, Next Phase Rugby will incorporate the recruiting service offered by Goff Rugby. The company is in talks with several large clubs and college programs, and plans to announce additional partnerships in the near future.

With over 900 college rugby programs, rugby is one of the largest college sports based on participation. The strong growth is expected to continue as youth programs and development academies expand. College rugby funding is also on the rise as women’s programs pursue full NCAA championship status and the number of varsity programs grows.

Greg added: “More and more Athletic Directors are seeing the tremendous ROI of offering rugby programs. Our service will help schools promote their rugby program, compete for high-character student-athletes and grow their rosters.”

The service is now live, and users can subscribe by visiting nextphaserugby.com.
