US Rugby Foundation Names Eight New State Governors
The US Rugby Foundation is pleased to welcome eight new State Governors who have made a commitment to volunteer their time to further develop and build grassroots rugby in America.
The State Governors
"Being part of the US Rugby Foundation gives one a chance to bring meaningful change and progress to the game of rugby in the United States," said US Rugby Foundation Director David Bruck. "Let's give our kids the same opportunities to play rugby as in Commonwealth countries, and make rugby a mainstream sport in the United States for girls and boys."
The State Governors will work on a regional level to help build rugby on the grassroots level. Governors help cultivate relationships within rugby communities, find donors within their region, support youth rugby efforts within communities, and support other efforts to help the game. The State Governor plan helps localize efforts with a national organization still overseeing support efforts.
