US Rugby Foundation Giving $100,000 in Grants for HS Programs
The US Rugby Foundation is partnering with US Youth & High School Rugby to offer $100,000 to expand high school rugby programs around the USA.
“We are happy to support the efforts of USA Youth and High School Rugby to create new high school teams around the country,” said US Rugby Foundation President, Brian Vizard. “Youth and high school rugby is the cornerstone of our mission and always will be. We have an opportunity and the funding available to help grow the sport at the grassroots level and we are going to do it. It is one of the largest grants we have ever awarded and we think it is money well invested.”
New high school rugby programs from across the country are welcome to apply in what is expected to be a highly competitive process.
Any application will have four key elements that will be assessed:
1. Governance Structure
2. Financial plan and budget
3. Rugby Development
4. Fields/Equipment
Grant applications must be submitted directly to USAY&HS. They will review all applications and will work directly with the schools to ensure all of the necessary planning has been done.
Applications will be accepted through the end of July, 2022.
