Two Coaching Positions Available at Berkeley All Blues

The Berkeley All Blues are a storied club in the Bay Area.

The Berkeley All Blues Women’s Rugby Club is currently seeking applicants for two coaching staff positions.

The club is looking for a Head Coach for the 15s Division II team and a forwards assistant coach for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) side. The Division II competition season will begin in early February and the team is expecting to start practices in January. Pending confirmation from the WPL, the competition season will either begin in Spring or Fall 2023.

The club plans to begin WPL practices in Spring regardless of competition season. The ideal candidates for these positions are committed to working with elite, senior-level athletes to build and maintain a championship-level team that is inclusive to all playing abilities.

About the All Blues

Founded in 1978, the Berkeley All Blues Women’s Rugby Club is one of the country’s top women’s rugby teams. The Club currently participates in a competitive WPL season, a competitive and developmental 7s season, and a competitive Division II season. The Club also recently founded a High School youth program that competes locally in both 15s and 7s. The Club has won a combined total of 17 National Championships in both 15s and 7s rugby. In 2022, all 3 senior programs competed in the National Championship competitions. The WPL side won the National Tournament, the Division II side made it to the Final Four for the first time in program history, and the 7s side won the Shield Championship.

The All Blues club consists of approximately 70 players dedicated to the Club and rugby. The Club welcomes athletes of all levels; current players range from elite to novice in experience. Several players regularly compete on the Women’s National Team. The emphasis of the WPL program is to compete at the highest level, while the Division II program strives to introduce new athletes to the sport and develop players to their highest potential. The Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is run by many current and former players that make up the Executive Board and Committee.
