Some Top-of-theTable Clashes in D1 Action
Indiana at Ohio State remains a clash of the top teams in the Big 10, although Notre Dame, having beaten Ohio State last week, might have something to say about that.
Ultimately, it looks like this is a preview of the final, but Big 10 has surprised us all before.
Rugby East and GRR #1 Navy visits Walsh in what should be an entertaining game, in part because Walsh looks like they will be hosting a game when it's not bucketing with rain. Sun and a little cloud seems to be the order of the day.
In the Big Rivers, Wheeling has clinched the top spot in the Big Rivers East after this week's game vs Trine is declared a forfeit. Thomas More vs Rio Grande decides who takes 2nd. In the Big Rivers West it's all up in the air. Iowa Central CC probably needs, at the very least, two bonus points against Principia to stay in the hunt for 2nd. A win would make it all much more tight. Principia can put themselves in an excellent position to win the West with a victory, but they have to be keeping an eye on Aquinas, which plays Marian.

And finally, on Sunday, Brown is at AIC in a clash of two 4-0 teams. Brown's forward pack has been putting it together nicely and they are logging impressive scores. The question is, can they handle AIC's tenacity? And can AIC's vaunted backline find a way through Brown's defense?
We also do have an early result with BYU 69-27 over Colorado. 2023-24 Rudy Scholz Award winner Wyatt Parry scored two tries and set up several others. Sami Mounga scored two in a good conference win for the Cougars.
