In the increasingly competitive New England Collegiate Rugby Conference, Rhode Island and Coast Guard stay on top after both won against their fellow DII opponents Saturday.
URI got two tries each from Tom Morini, Will Coris, and Alex Sabitoni, while Darryl Brooks, Brechan Allison, and Alex Zygmunt added one each. Anthony Kennedy converted five tries for the 55-15 victory over Boston University.
Vermont edged Norwich 32-29 in a thriller, while Coast Guard held off New Hampshire 24-18. For UNH, it was their third straight loss of the season, and their third loss by a try or less.
They are 0-3, with a points difference of only -9.
