The Northwest Collegiate Rugby Conference playoff matchup are set after this weekend's results.
As expected, the University of Washington takes the #1 playoff seed with a 51-3 defeat of Boise State. The Huskies finished 5-2 on the season (top-finishing Central Washington will not be in the playoffs so it's the next four who will be). Two other teams finished 5-2, but UW's superior tally of bonus points sees them through. Western Washington squeaked by Oregon in the standings thanks to an additional bonus point, earned in their 65-17 defeat of Eastern Washington. It was a long weekend for EWU as they needed to make up a postponed match, and played two games, working hard at each but losing both.
Their other loss was to Western Oregon. Meanwhile, Oregon needed a bonus point of some kind against Central Washington, but CWU was too strong, and won 44-7.
So the playoffs April 4 will see Washington State at Washington and Oregon at Western Washington.
Below are the final standings (CWU v EWU is yet to be played)
