NCR D1 Rankings Week 13
NCR D1 Rankings Week 13
This is the penultimate NCR D1 ranking for the fall of 2024.
We will let the semifinals play out and then the final, and we'll update at the end. Right now we have our latest rankings and we have zero ... that's right, zero changes. And it speaks to what we often say about the rankings: if the rankings are perfect, that's boring. We're sorry, it's boring.
BUT ...
But there are a couple of things we'd like to discuss.
1-These rankings are brought to you by Next Phase Rugby. That's an app to help HS rugby players find the right college for them. It's a great tool. Use these rankings to help you get an idea of what colleges are strong in rugby (our NCR D1 rankings, D1A rankings, D1AA rankings, and D2 rankings all help with that). Then you can use Next Phase Rugby to formulate your profile and connect with the programs you like. Use Discount Code: USAYHS to get $50 off premium.

2-We were relatively accurate on a consistent basis in the NCR D1 sphere because we were dealing with mostly four conferences: Rugby East, Big 10, Liberty, and Big Rivers. Right now we have a fairly clear idea of the relative strengths of these conferences and that has born out ... for the most part. Rugby East is the strongest conference among those which has made it easier to fill out some of the spots. Liberty has its strengths and our biggest concern was whether Brown's dominance therein was because the rest of the conference was weaker or Brown was having a great season. We settled on the latter.
Going forward, more crossover competition between Big Rivers and Big 10, would help those programs and also help us (!).
