Not a lot of Men's D2 college games this weekend, but a lot of meaningful ones.

A Closer Look at Men D2 College Playoffs

We find out conference champions in Allegheny, GMW, NEWCRC, MARC, and Liberty. Cardinals should wrap it up, too. As noted in the article linked above, there 3rd-4th games carry a lot of weight, too.

UNC Wilmington could lose to Appalachian State, leaving us with a three-way 3-1 tie, but as we outlined in the other article, UNC-W has almost the entirety of the tiebreakers in their favor. They just need a bonus point. (NCR has Wilmington as already being the South champion, but we think they have one more small hurdle to jump first.)

Meanwhile Grand Valley State isn't listed as the Great Lakes champions, but they are. Same with MSU Mankato.

So here's what we have playoff-wise:

In Play-ins—GVSU, MSU Mankato, Virginia.

In Quarterfinals—SLU, Montana State, Memphis

In Quarterfinals with a win Saturday—IUP or Miami; UNI or Whitewater; Marist or Albany; Villanova or Georgetown; Norwich or Maine.

Likely to earn a play-in—loser of UNI/Whitewater; winner of Northwestern/Loyola; loser of Villanova/Georgetown; loser of Norwich/Maine; winner of Scranton/UMBC; Appalachian State or Coastal Carolina and ... somebody else.
