The MetNY U23s continue to get some playing time for college players who have not been able to play in any other way.

Sponsored by the AC Rugby Foundation, te MetNY U23s beat the Connecticut Selects 52-28 last week, with openside flanker Tim Capriotti of Penn State and his flanker partner Nick Lapponnesse of Fairfield University both having really strong games. No. 8 Yohendy Martinez (St. Bonaventure) was also hugely influential, while another Bonnies player, hooker North Westall was key in the set piece and around the field.

The backs enjoyed some space with scrumhalf and captain Luke Persanis getting the ball out quickly and outside center Tom Treussard of Penn State taking advantage.

Next up for MetNY will be the USA South Panthers next months.
