For most of the teams in DI-level rugby, the spring now means thinking about 7s and finals and rehashing the season.
For some, though, some sort of championships still beckons, and the games they are playing mean plenty - this is where a team has to be playing its best, and we assign plenty of importance to those games.
The highlights in this week's rankings including Central Washington defeating Utah so convincingly that we've moved the Wildcats up to #3. Further down, the major ranking upset would have to be Sacramento State (previously 46) defeating #36 Long Beach State. Sac State gets a bump. Notre Dame College, having beaten Bowling Green in the DIAA playoffs, also moves up.
Moving into the rankings are two we've had our eye on for some time - James Madison and Utah State. We just needed a win over a well-regarded team for a ranking to happen.
