Men D2 2023 Rankings Week 8
Men D2 2023 Rankings Week 8
Well we do have some big changes this week.
With Northwestern playing and beating two teams ranked above them in the space of three days, we didn't have time to move them up gradually. Still, as you know we're often conservative with breakout teams that haven't played enough rankings-relevant games. That's how Maine stayed low for a while. Well those two made big moves this week, with Northwest up 28 spots (!) and Maine up six. We still think the likes of Vermont and Loyola are strong and could make a splash nationally. But the top three look fairly solid (and almost interchangable by the way). The next 10 or so (minus Auburn) could make the national playoffs very interesting.
Further down, not playing a lot hurts some teams, while Missouri S&T almost inexplicably lost big to a John Brown team that was struggling to field a full 15. S&T moves out but John Brown doesn't move in yet because of that numbers problem.
