Men D2 2023 Rankings Week 2
Not a lot of D2 games this week but there were a few.
Northern Iowa goes 1-2 in the Middle of the Map tournament but that wasn't a bad performance at all. All of their opponents were D1 teams and they were competitive in all games. So, yes, it's a tournament (so not super rankings important) but still good enough.
We'll wait on Grand Valley State after a big loss to Purdue. But we didn't wait on some of the results. Drury is an independent NCR D1 team as they are school-supported but they are a developing D1 team. So a 13-10 win over UMS&T is perhaps not unexpected but is still worth us bumping S&T up a bit.
SLU's result over Southern Illinois is impressive and they get a seven-spot promotion.
There are more games of note coming up this weekend. GVSU plays Notre Dame, RPI plays Cornell, Albany plays Marist, Vermont plays Coast Guard, UNH plays Lowell, Norwich faces Maine, IUP plays Rio Grande, and SLU plays Washington U.
