The conference playoffs shook up these playoffs a little bit, and we expect, depending on the playoff matchups, the NCR Play-ins and Round of 16 will do that also.
The big thing that makes like interesting (and a little difficult) for us is Northern Iowa winning all of their games by massive margins. How strong, then, is the Great Midwest? We don't just rank based on in-conference results ... so a team that is 6-0 in its conference may not be better than a team that is 3-3 in another conference. But, we're only human, and sometimes teams are ranked higher because of their record.
This week a few teams move up because of their in-conference record while teams in traditionally-tough conferences lost big and so ... well ... that can affect your ranking. Virginia, GVSU, UNC-Wilmington all get a boost thanks to a general look at what they've accomplished. Some of the teams we've moved down are still in the NCR playoffs, so they might stir these rankings up a little bit more.
