This has been a fairly tumultuous D1AA fall.

We've been moving teams up and down somewhat drastically, and it's not stopping. Sometimes it's because the scores have not followed a predictable pattern. Sometimes it's because we have it wrong—usually that's when we react to one result and faily to look at the entire season (something we should do). That latter reason is why Minnesota was at #18 last week when they had not really done enough to get up there.

The Heart of America is pretty competitive, however, and that muddies the waters.

That's why Kansas State moves up six spots. Missouri moves up nine spots because they lost competitively to a very good Kansas team. 

We have a new #1. Virginia Tech's 14-8 victory over Maryland moved the Terps up 11 spots, but it also indicates maybe VT is a bit vulnerable. At the same time Louisville won well. Kansas bumps up to #3.
