We have a new #1 as Virginia Tech kicked off their season in style.

That #1 spot is still very much up for grabs.

Kansas bumps up a little as they continue on with good results, but perhaps the big news is how many teams join the Top 40.

Rice put in a huge result over a Texas Sate team that is always pretty strong, so it's a big move for the Owls as they jump in to #25. UT San Antonio beat Baylor (caveat: Baylor and Texas A&M play a Lonestar schedule but they usually play a younger lineup, so their Lonestar results don't really affect where they are in D1A). Princeton edged St. Joe's, while Maryland and Washington State also move in after winning.

So there is a lot of room for change.
