Men D1AA College Rankings Week 15
Men D1AA College Rankings Week 15
We do have a couple of new teams in our Top 40.
San Jose State is battling in a very tough California Conference and with a 27-26 win over Stanford they bump themselves in. Stanford, for their part, are right on the cusp.
St. Thomas, for their part, had logged some good preseason results and we have been keeping an eye on them, but it's league play, especially for a newish program that just recently moved up to DIAA, that counts.
So opening up with a victory of 80-0 with Jehron McGee and Taonaishe Mapani scoring three tries each and Welton Charumbria scoring 25 points with the boot was what got them in the Top 40.
Arizona State's win over Claremont Colleges gets them in the rankings. They will play U. San Diego Feb. 17.
Also of note, Sam Houston State lost to St. Edward's but that was their 2nd team, which operates in the Lonestar Conference. So SHSU dropping down is only because teams were moved up past them. It's likely they will move up again.
This coming week: St. Thomas vs Central Florida, SHSU vs Teas State, Western Washington vs Oregon State, and U. San Diego vs Claremont Colleges.
