We have a new #1.
In fact, we kind of have to have a new #1.
As anyone who reads these pages frequently will know, just because you beat the #1 team doesn't mean you automatically go to #1. It could be that the #2 team is better poised to move up, or some other reason (like the team that beat #1 already lost to someone else).
But this time, it's pretty clear. Other teams have not been playing or not been playing a lot. While Life's 21-19 win over Mount St. mary's had us wondering, in the end that was a) a bit of an anomally for the Running Eagles as they beat other teams in more convicning fashion and b) a sign that MSM might be pretty strong.
Mount backed that up with a win over Mary Washington this week and they move up five spots to #9. Life moves up five spaces to #1 after beating Navy ... on the no less.
Other movers ... Arkansas State moves down and Adrian moves up as they tied. We're not sure this is the whole story for ASU, but we'll keep an eye on them. Nevertheless this was a huge result for Adrian.
Colorado enters the Top 25 and Colorado State moves up as they both beat Grand Canyon.
