Maccabi Team Needs Help to Get to Chile
The USA Maccabi rugby team is trying to get to the Maccabi Pan-Am Games, and needs your help.
The Maccabi Games is an Olympic-style, multi-sport event held for Jewish athletes from around the world. The Pan-Am Maccabi Games welcomes teams from North and South America, and will have rugby as part of its slate of events.
The team is set to go to Santiago, Chile, with competition starting December 28. Unfortunately, Australia and South Africa have had to withdraw due to funding, so the competition will be the USA, Argentina, and Chile. The teams will play a rond-robin in 15s, with the top two teams playing a second time for the gold medal. Then the three teams will also play a single-day 7s competition.
The Maccabi Pan-Am Games will run from December 28 to January 5.
