Indiana Beats Notre Dame
The University of Indiana defeated University of Notre Dame Saturday in a playoff warmup for both teams.
IU is looking ahead to the DIAA playoffs, and Notre Dame has the Varsity Cup to word about, so this was a useful run-out for both.
In the end, it was all Indiana, winning 43-8.
“We just wanted to get ourselves back up to speed,” said IU’s Bryce Campbell. “We did OK but we weren’t perfect and made some mistakes. I think in the second half we turned it on a little.”
Indiana won the Big Ten Universities Conference and also an ACRC Bowl Game over Kutztown. The Hoosiers are nicely-placed to do well in the DIAA playoffs with some good warmup games.
Notre Dame is still handling a coach turnover, and is hoping to garner the Irish’s first Varsity Cup win.
