HS Games This Weekend: March Out Like a Lion

Spring Break occurs at different times for different schools, so every now and then you'll see an entire league got radio silent.

But ... we will also see leagues get back into action—witness Rugby Oklahoma's first weekend of league play starting right now. 

Texas is back and going strong, and Missouri is also heating up, and we've got a game in the DC area, believe it or not. with a preseason warmup between Georgetown Prep and Salesianum. 

Check back for scores; several teams could break into the rankings as the schedule expands. Victories or close losses for the likes of Walnut Hills, Spring Hill, Fairfield, SLV Rhinos, Katy, San Clemente, and a few teams in Oklahoma could all see them move into the rankings. 

We're interested also to see how Withrow (Ohio) follows up on their win last week. Keep an eye on Jeron Grant, who led his team in tackles, scored two tries, and made several other massive plays in their win over Walnut Hills. We're also keeping an eye on Jacksonville, which hasn't played in a while and needs to regain their mojo with a game against a tough Cardinal Gibbons team in Florida. Penn takes on Bishop Dwenger in a game that was going to be a preseason clash but, with scheduled being complicated as they are, was changed by both teams to a league game.

Berks hosts a shortened-game jamboree with two other ranked teams and Fairfield, which could emerge ranked if they do well. And watch out for the middle of next week when the two teams normally at the top of the heap in Ohio, St. Ignatius and St. Edward, face off.
