In Southern California, this is the school season but there are two leagues, with one league being teams with players that are almost exclusively from one school, and the other with a bit more of a mi, but retaining a single-school identify. So in the latter group Carlsbad, which is pretty much Thunder when the club season rolls around, faces off with an always difficult San Clemente side. That's probably the biggest game of the first weekend in the Multi-School group.
SoCal HS Teams Get Early Tests
In the school teams, Torrey Pines has already won the Big Game, 15-12 over Los Alamitos. So in a way we're watching these two teams and seeing if they can stay strong throughout. Servite is back to cause problems for Los Al, while TP is favored over San Marcos.
