Herriman Beats Kau Toa
Herriman Beats Kau Toa
Herriman HS defeated defending Utah state club champs Kau Toa 57-19 Saturday in a non-conference game.
Kau Toa is down from last year but this was still an impressive result for Herriman. The game started out quickly, with Herriman scoring three tries in the first five minutes, and they didn’t let up from there.
The Mustangs kept it up and led 52-0 before the subs were run in. Kau Toa kept at it and finished the game with three nicely-taken tries.
Kalisi Moli and Matt Hall made several long breaks on the day and eight different players scored for Herriman, including wing Tonu Naeta, who scored two in his first start. Kenton McPeak, Kaelon Tryon and Fumio Arima were tough at the breakdown, and Colin Snow hit six conversions.
Both coaching staffs agreed to open subbing for the friendly match, and Herriman was able to give its 2nd XV a good run in the second half.
