The Pelham Rugby HS team swept the NJ Challenge Cup this past weekend, defeating New York, Keio Academy, Pelham B, and Play Rugby USA.

Pelham ran out a small roster of players because they entered two teams in the competititon, with the Pelham B side going 2-2, with one of their losses being against Pelham's A side.

Pelham Varsity side: Luke Persanis (c), North Westall (c), Cian Burns, Justin Johnson, JT Perez, Kevin Ndou, Sam Louman, Joe Nelson, Matt Biskup, Moises Soto. The Pelham B side was: Luke Carney, Jake Galiani, Connor Gorman, Dan Maydwell (c), Anthony McGrath, Jake Soifer, Martin Ndou, Tim Quinn. The Pelham JV team won the JV cup. The roster was: Woods Johnson, Andy Vermes, Bennett Safsel, James Calano, Noah Dulock, Walter Fry, Stewart Giles, Conor Buechner, Rolland Yoann, Alex Walker.

Also this past weekend, the Pelham, NY U12s defeated Manhattan U12s 12 tries to 5 in a game played in Pelham, NY.

These two teams play each other twice during the fall and spring every year, a tradition that started almost nine years ago.
