The Gonzaga Classic boys competition promises to match up some high-level boys HS teams.
In the Boys Premier, 12 well-regarded teams face off.
Pool A sees #1 Gonzaga with Fairfield Prep and St. Louis University High. Fairfield has logged some good results of late while SLUH has shown flashes and probably would want a few close losses back.
Pool B includes British Columbia-based Shawnigan Lake, which is on an east coast spring tour just after hosting Xavier of NY at their home on Vancouver Island. They will take on Vienna, one of the three club teams in Virginia battling for top spot, and Belmont HS, the defending Massachusetts IAA state champs and a team that is a bit of a wild card.
Pool C includes Charlotte Cardinals, which is a candidate to be the #1-ranked HS Club in the nation (currently ranked #4), Pelham, who just beat Xavier, and the always polished Georgetown Prep.
Pool D includes Aspetuck, which has been in good form of late, Fort Hunt (ditto), and a Clayton side that has a ton of potential.
