It's been a wild season in the Deep South Men's DII Conference, in part because traveling or the weather have been tough on some teams.
Games that were postponed and not made up resulted in a forfeit loss for both teams, which is why the standings below have more losses than wins - three games results in double-forfeits.
Combine that with the fact that some results that we have unoffically records have still not been reported to the league, so the league standings are different from what we have down below. The Conference has Southern Mississippi with the best record at 3-2-1, but that's mostly because we have results for Louisiana-Lafayette and Spring Hill that don't seem to have been recorded.
This makes for some confusion since the championship game is this weekend.
Spring Hill won in a forfeit over Southern Mississippi this weekend to go to 3-2-1. Tulane finished strong and won 20-5 over Louisiana Tech to finished 2-2-2, and just behind Spring Hill (as far as we can see). ULL edged South Alabana 29-25 to move to 4-2.
