Colorado State remains on top of the Rocky Mountain Conference after another victory over the weekend.

Now, this is still in progress and BYU (now 1-0 after a 67-3 win over Utah State) and Air Force (now 2-0) are also unbeaten.

But the Rams won well over Utah over the weekend, taking the result 48-12. Utah actually scored early, punishing a CSU mistake, but Colorado State's strength in set piece allowed them to settle down and take the lead in fairly short order.

Jooker Rylan Palmer scored two tries (he now has six in three games. Center Mace Ramaqa and flanker Logan Braegger also bagged a brace. No. 8 Aiden Wilson and fullback Harry Kelly also scored tries while Sam Masterson converted three and Harry Kelly knocked over one.

Head Coach Jone Naqica was relatively pleased with the effort.

"I feel we're playing well as a team but we're still working to play our best rugby," said the former Eagle. "There are moments in the game where we really shine, but in some areas we are still a work in progress."

Naqica had praise for Masterson and Wilson, the Ram's captain and vice captain, for their leadership, especially by example.

Next up in the Rocky Mountain, BYU plays Colorado, Utah Valley plays Utah State, and Air Force is at Colorado State. That last one could well be a decide as to which team takes 2nd.
