Aquinas Finally Gets Blues
St. Thomas Aquinas finally got one over on their rivals, Kansas City Junior Blues this week, defeating the Blues 25-22 Wednesday evening.
Aquinas had lost twice to the Blues this season, 10-5 in the KC Tournament on March 29, and 31-24 a week later in Kansas City.
But the return engagement when the way of Aquinas, thanks in large part to a strong effort from flanker Brandon Flaspohler and lock Andrew Gilroy. Prop Brent Keffer led from the front and Sam Gasparovich performed well at flyhalf.
Aquinas has two games to play on Saturday before they enter the state playoffs a week later, followed by the Boys NIT.
