The Vermont Youth Rugby girls team won the Northeast Regional All-Star Tournament Sunday, beating Massachusetts and Connecticut in a round robin.

A team from the Albany area was slated to participate, also, but statewide testing in schools undercut their depth and they were unable to field a team. So the two-game, semis-final format was replaced with a round-robin format, where every team played the other twice.

Vermont swept their games, while Massachusetts and Connecticut split their series. Connecticut took third because they won their game by five, and lost to MYRO by only two.
