Teams are signing up for a special 7s tournament in Eastern Washington state this July, as rugby players try to raise some money for a rugby coach's sick daughter.

Aaron Ribble's daughter, Katie, has been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), the most common cause of infant death and a debilitating disease that attacks the motor neurons of the spine. Katie Ribble, who is two, is expected over the next couple of years to need a motorized wheelchair, and full-time assistance.

A fundraising campaign has been started at SupportKatie.org to help pay for Katie Ribble's health needs.

Among the fundraising efforts is a rugby tournament on July 19. Several teams, including the University of Idaho, Washington State University, the Yetis, and others have signed up, and more are expected. This tournament is for a good caue and teams are encourged to enter.
