BC Looks to Move Up
After going 4-2 in the 2013 ECRC and finishing third, Boston College hopes to be in position to challenge AIC and Middlebury for 1st.
To do that, they need to improve on last year's finish, where they lost 20-10 to AIC and 35-15 to Middlebury in the final two weeks. All of that begins with a solid start against the University of Massachusetts.
Led by captains Allan Bronzo and Pat Rockwell (2nd-team all-conference at hooker), and with the likes of Erik Gore, Ryan McCoy, All-ECRC fullback Joey D'Antonio, Colm Mulvany, and Ben Nathan back for another season, they have plenty of experience, said club president Frank Paleno.
BC won the team sportsmanship award in the ECRC last year, and they likely could again since the vast majority of the team is back.
""We have a greater amount of experience and growing chemistry will definitely make a huge difference," said Paleno. "We have also done a better job of conditioning, and as a club we are confident in our ability to post an even better record than we did last season."
