Play of the Year - Scully Steals the Ball!

The USA came back from 35-18 down to beat Canada 38-35 June 21 in Sacramento. But the comeback was accomplished a good ten minutes before the game was over.

There was more to do. With time up and Canada knocking on the door, the Eagles had to make their tackles and hope something would happen to end the game. That something was Blaine Scully. The wing moved to fullback after Chris Wyles had to leave the field injured. As Scully, Luke Hume, and Folau Niua converged on one last Canadian attacker, Scully ripped the ball out, and set up a ruck. Hume, Mike Petri, and Tom Coolican came in to clear out, and Niua booted the ball dead to end the game.

It was a big game, and this play potentially was the difference between winning and losing.
