DIAA MVP Forward - Phil Bryant
DIAA MVP Forward - Phil Bryant
Goff Rugby Report has named Bowling Green University hooker Phil Bryant as the Fall 2016 MVP Forward.
Bryant was an inspirational leader for BGSU as the Falcons rolled to the fall DIAA final. The Archbishop Moeller product is only a sophomore, but has shown significant leadership in a forward pack where everyone else was either a junior or a senior.
“I’ve been playing for a while so I enjoy stepping up but I am also not afraid to have fun with the boys - have some fun,” said Bryant. “Being able to keep a balance of being a mentor but also being a friend you love playing rugby with, is something I aspire to.”
A smart, hard-hitting hooker, Bryant covers the field exceptionally well and performs his duties at set piece.
Phil Bryant is our DIAA MVP Forward for Fall of 2016.
Honorable Mention
The list of honorable mention forwards is somewhat short, not because there was a small pool of applicants, but more there were so many we had to raise the bar really high or list way too many.
Each of these players has been crucial to his team’s success, sometimes carrying the team at crucial moments.
