Cornell's Barford to Coach Pro Rugby Team
Paule Barford, who has been a successful and well-respected coach in college and age-grade circles for years, will be the Head Coach of Pro Rugby's team in Ohio.
Barford, who most recently coached Cornell, played for the Leicester Tigers in England, is a certified World Rugby educator, and hold a World Rugby Level 3 coaching certification.
He has been part of the coaching staff for the USA age-grade programs, from U17 to U20, and also coach the USA 'A' team, the South All-Stars, and Life University.
Barford joins named coaches Luke Gross (Sacramento), Ray Egan (San Diego), and Paul Keeler (San Francisco).
The to-be-announced Denver team has not had a coach confirmed yet.
All of the coaches have been active in HS or College rugby, or both. Gross coached with the USA U20s, and was coaching University of Colorado. Egan had been coaching the Belmont Shore men's club, but was also coaching Wilson HS and Belmont Shore U19s, as well. Keeler most recently had been coaching Santa Clara University.
