Everyone knows that Xavier HS in New York is the best HS rugby team in the state.

They win the championship every year, but that's not to say the league is a pushover. Pelham has emerged as a worthy adversary and Xavier's position in this list is partly due to the fact that the NYC Catholic school had to play Pelham twice. They also looked for trouble, with an annual clash with Greenwich, two games with strong foreign opposition, and a good showing in Nationals that put them against Gonzaga and Penn.
