JAKE ANDERSON
It's kind of hard to find anyone who isn't on the Cal team to give a 7s award to. If we were inclined to do so, Central Washington's Aladdin Schirmer might be the guy, or perhaps Madison Hughes. But Cal won the CRC and then followed that up with a very strong fall. What Anderson contributed to this effort was virtually everything A big, imposing runner, he is elusive, quick, and can see the field.
Cal has come into its own as a 7s program this year, and it's in part because Anderson has not only played well indivudually, but also in using his teammates. Will he be a 7s Eagle? Hard to know. But he did the most for the most successful 7s college team in 2014.
